HALIFAX, NS – The East Coast International Pro Stock Tour returns to Scotia Speedworld this Saturday for the Summer Clash 250 presented by Superior Foundations and Atlantic Tiltload. With 25 teams already registered for the event and the biggest purse in Scotia Speedworld history up for grabs, action on the track is sure to be intense! And did we mention the first-place finisher will walk away with $15,000? Drivers will be up on the wheel trying to earn their slice of the $100,000 purse and have their name etched on the iconic Scott Fraser Memorial Cup. Grandstands will open at 1:00 pm on Saturday with racing slated to get underway at 4:00 pm.

Qualifying for the Summer Clash 250 will take place on Friday evening with Time Trials presented by Top Construction. The winner of Time Trials will take home $1,000 and Pole Position for the main event. The outside pole will also be decided via Time Trials on Friday night.

Following Time Trials fans can take in the CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series featuring the Superior Foundations 100 for the Bay Equipment Rentals Sportsman. Grandstands open at 5:00 pm with racing action at 7:00 pm.

Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, NS) maintains the top spot in the championship point standings as we enter Summer Clash weekend. Jarrett Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) remains steady in second after his second win of the season at the BJ’s Truck Centre 150. Russell Smith Jr (Lakeside, NS) moved up a spot and now holds down the third position. Nicholas Naugle (Dartmouth, NS) is currently fourth but just 3 points behind Smith Jr.  Mike Rodgers (Moncton, NB) continues to stay in the fight and enters Summer Clash 250 in fifth position.

Also, on the racing card for Saturday are the Cross Roads Maritime League of Legends who will run a 50-lap feature. The Heart of a Champion Vintage Race Car Series will also put on a show for fans prior to the main event, Summer Clash 250!

Tickets for the Summer Clash 250 are on sale now! Adult tickets are $40.00, Youth (8-15) are $10.00, Pit entry is $45.00. Adult weekend passes are also available for $55.00 for grandstand seating and $60.00 for the pits. Tickets will be available at the gates on race day.
