GEARY, NB – Management of Speedway 660 is proud to announce that Changing hands Thrift shop will be the title sponsor of the SharpShooter division.

As a long-time supporter of the class in other ways, store owner Jennifer Harnish is excited to shine
the spotlight on her Fredericton store.

“We’re very excited to be part of Speedway 660 as a class sponsor,” said Harnish. “This class has meant a lot to me and my family over the last few years and we all look forward to helping build on what’s already an amazing division.”

With the new title sponsor of the division, drivers are excited to get going for a new season. Last year’s division champion Darren Wilcox will look to defend that title against a strong contingent of veteran and rookie competitors.

In addition to the new title sponsor for the division, teams, and drivers can expect a new race format. Track management is moving away from the “random draw” system in favour of one based on average finishing position to set lineups for the races. Drivers with the best average finishing position will start towards the back of the field, while the drivers with the worst average finish will start towards the front.

“We felt making this change will increase the level of competition in all the classes,” said Brent
Roy of Speedway 660. “This is a return to ‘the good old days’ that people talk about a lot.
If you finished well, you started deeper in the field. On top of making the show better for the
fans, this will help the teams and drivers improve their race craft by working through the fields
each week.”

Action on the Geary oval is set to kick off with the Riverview Ford Lincoln Season Opener on
May 18 at 4 p.m. Fans are encouraged to follow the latest news about Speedway 660 via
