Braxton Stafford (Miramichi, NB) added his name to the growing list of winners on the 2021 Atlantic Modified Tour by taking home the Blackville Auto Parts and JBS Towing 35 at Speedway Miramichi on Saturday. Stafford becomes the sixth different winner in seven races on the Series with the victory after several close calls to picking up the checkered flag in the first half of the 2021 season.

Kevin Bailey (Minto, NB) led most of the opening green flag stanza of the race before Stafford took the point with Zean Dutcher (Miramichi, NB) following close behind. Several mid-race cautions slowed the event with the final restart with four laps to go. Kim Hallihan (Renous, NB) had a shot at the win in the late laps but was shuffled out of line for the final dash to the finish. Joe Hoyt (Waasis, NB) edged out Chris Wilson (South Esk, NB) for the final podium position. Point leader Travis Conroy (Miramichi, NB) completed the top five.

Qualifying heat races in the 13-car field went to Stafford (Miramichi, NB) and Dutcher (Miramichi, NB). The Blackville Auto Parts and JBS Towing 35 saw the biggest field of Atlantic Modified Tour cars in a single event to date in the 2021 season.
