Scott Fraser will become the first stock car racer to be inducted to the Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame. The Class of 2014 was announced this afternoon in Halifax.

140616_nsshofFrank Fraser, Jr. represented his brother at the announcement and spoke briefly thanking all those that supported Scott during his life including their friends, crew, sponsors, and fans.

The accolade adds to the already long list of inductions Fraser has been honoured with since his death in 2004. In 2006 he became an inaugural member of the Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame; in 2007 he was inducted to the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame; and in 2010 he was enshrined in the Colchester Sports Heritage Hall of Fame.

The Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame Class of 2014 includes five athletes, two builders, and one team:

The Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame Class of 2014 will be formally inducted at a public ceremony to be held November 1 at the World Trade & Convention Centre in Halifax; tickets will be available in early September.
