Photo: Speedway 660Ryan Messer Gets First Pro Stock Tour Win at Speedway 660 May 28, 2023 Regional GEARY, NB – Ryan Messer (Harvey) got his first career East Coast International Pro Stock Tour win Saturday night at Speedway 660 after a late race charge to the front to get by reigning series champion Craig Slaunwhite on lap 134. After an incident in the final practice of the day, Jarrett Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) rebounded for a third-place finish. Ashton Tucker (Lyttleton) and Russell Smith Jr (Lakeside, NS) completed the top five in the 21-car field. Butcher, Slaunwhite, and Lucas Oil Rookie Contender Jordan Veinotte (Porter’s Lake, NS) won their Atlantic Tiltload Heat Races which set the field for the East Coast International 150. Messer started 16th en route to his victory and the Kenny U Pull Hard Charger. Slaunwhite led 109 laps to take home the R&D Performancentre Most Laps Led Award. Dustin Tucker (Fredericton) was the Lucas Oil Rookie of the Race. Mike Rodgers (Moncton) was the Fast Eddie Racewear Lucky Dog after finishing seventh. Two Speedway 660 house divisions kicked off the racing action. Shawn Hyslop (Street Stocks) and Jason Duffield (Sharp Shooters) were victorious in the opening classes. The East Coast International Pro Stock Tour takes next weekend off and will then head to Riverside International Speedway for the RJ Poirier Heavy Equipment 150 on Saturday, June 10th at 4:00 pm.
