JAMES RIVER, NS – Riverside International Speedway will put a period on the 2021 season this Saturday with the Toromont Cat 150, an event that will benefit the IWK Foundation. The race will see local favourite Donald Chisholm driving the #21 Cat Car for Kids adorned by IWK Foundation messaging to help raise awareness for the region’s top women and children’s hospital, along with fundraising efforts.

The Toromont Cat 150 is a championship points event for the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour (PST), round seven of nine for 2021. The race offers drivers the chance for extra winnings with a Lap Leader Bonus of $25/lap, adding $3750.00 to the purse posted by the series, meaning 1) the winner could take home over $5,500.00 and 2) added excitement for the fans.

With just three races remaining, the championship point battle is heating up with one point separating the top two –  two-time PST champion Cole Butcher leads the way over Craig Slaunwhite, the most recent series winner at Riverside. Jarrett Butcher (Cole’s younger brother) is third, just 33 markers behind Slaunwhite, and fourth-place Nicholas Naugle is a slim 10-points out of third. Full point standings are available at www.maritimeprostocktour.com.
