There was no on-track activity Friday at Charlotte Motor Speedway as rain forced the postponement of the Sprint Showdown and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race until Saturday. As a result, the fans will see an action packed one-day show culminating with the Sprint All-Star Race, and racers in the postponed events will take to the track for their respective events without any practice. Both races will be lined up in accordance with the NASCAR rule book, using 2016 owner points.

William Byron will be on the pole in the truck race and Chase Elliott will start from the point in the Showdown. Practice and qualifying for the Sprint All-Star Race will take place as scheduled on Saturday with the schedule as follows:

  • Sprint All-Star Race practice, 9:30 a.m. ET on FS1
  • Sprint All-Star pit road speed practice, 10:05 a.m. ET on FS1
  • Sprint Showdown, 11 a.m. ET on FS1, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio
  • NASCAR Camping World Truck Series NC Education Lottery 200, 12:30 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio
  • Sprint All-Star Race qualifying, 7:10 p.m. ET on FS1
  • Sprint All-Star Race, 9 p.m. ET on FS1 (with pre-race coverage starting at 8:30 p.m. ET), MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio
