HALIFAX, NS – Scotia Speedworld and the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour have announced purse and contingency fund details for the Summer Clash 250 presented by Superior Foundations and Atlantic Tiltload. The Summer Clash 250 will take place on Saturday, August 12 at Scotia Speedworld and will feature racing talent from across the Maritimes and beyond. Teams will be competing for purse and contingency awards worth over $100,000, with $15,000 going to first place! One team could walk away from Summer Clash 250 with more than $36,000! Excitement is mounting for the Summer Clash 250, so be sure to get your tickets now!

Top Construction Time Trials

Time Trials for the Summer Clash 250 will take place on Friday night and determine the front row for Saturday’s main event. The winner of Time Trials will not only take home the pole position they will also receive $1,000! All others who Time Trial will receive $200 courtesy of Top Construction.

Lap Money

Drivers will be battling hard to lead as many laps as possible at the Summer Clash 250 as each lap they lead will put an additional $75 in their pockets. The total lap money available to be won is $18,750. Additionally lap sponsors have raised $6,250 for the Dartmouth Boy and Girls Club! Scotia Speedworld would like to thank all of the lap sponsors for Summer Clash 250 and encourage fans to check out the lap board and event program which will recognize the companies and individuals who contributed to the lap program.   

Scott Fraser Pole Challenge presented by Toromont Cat

All drivers will be eligible to take the Scott Fraser Pole Challenge. The driver who takes the challenge moves from the head of the field to the final starting position in the Summer Clash 250. Only one driver can accept the challenge – with first option going to the winner of the Top Construction Time Trials, if not accepted, moving to 2nd place, and so on. If a driver accepts the challenge they will automatically receive a bonus of $500.

  • An additional $500 will be paid if the driver finishes in the top 10 positions OR
  • An additional $1,000 will be paid if the driver finishes in the top 5 positions OR
  • An additional $2,000 will be paid to the driver if they win the Summer Clash 250!

Bluenose Pools Chase the Checkers – Fan Award!

Chase the Checkers is back again for 2023 and will see one lucky fan win $1,500! That’s right you don’t need to own a Pro Stock to win some cash at the Summer Clash 250! Anyone who purchases an advance ticket online before Wednesday, August 9th will be entered in a draw to participate in the Chase the Checkers award. A random draw of advance ticket purchasers will be made, those who are lucky enough to be selected will come onto the front stretch at the Summer Clash 250 for opening ceremonies and will draw a driver’s name out of the entry list and be matched with that driver for the day. Whoever wins the Summer Clash 250 will take home an additional $1,500 as will the fan who drew their number! Chase the Checkers is being presented by Bluenose Pools.

Additional Contingency Funds

In addition to the season long contingency awards, there is some extra to be won next Saturday. The driver who is leading at the half-way mark of the Summer Clash 250 will earn $1,000 courtesy of A&W Burnside & Eastern Passage. Random draws will take place during Driver Introductions for the following:
