Bubba Pollard, perhaps the top short track driver in North America in the past couple years, will drive a car out of the Dale Earnhardt Jr.-owned JR Motorsports (JRM) in the Valley Star Credit Union 300 late model race at Martinsville Speedway (VA) on October 5.

The announcement was made yesterday by Earnhardt Jr. via social media:

Pollard will be a teammate to JRM late model regular, Josh Berry. Berry will drive No. 88, Pollard No. 98.

The race offers a $110,000 purse with $32,000 to the winner, along with the iconic Martinsville grandfather clock. It will be broadcast live online at FansChoice.tv and also on the radio by the Motor Racing Network.
