The second Easter Bunny 150 in as many days at North Carolina’s historic Hickory Motor Speedway saw two Nova Scotia drivers finish sixth and 19th, Pictou’s Austin MacDonald and Hantsport’s Cole Butcher, respectively.

Butcher was running in the top five when a blown tire with less than 20 laps to go landed his No. 53 in the wall, and the pits, resulting in the 19th-place finish. MacDonald’s No. 13 was relatively unscathed after 150-laps.

NASCAR Cup Series driver William Byron won the race with Brandon Barker and Garrett Hall rounding out the top three. Complete unofficial race results are here.

MacDonald’s next race is April 2 at Thompson Speedway in Connecticut, a PASS North SLM event. Butcher is back in action April 7-8 at Five Flags Speedway in Florida.
