BARACHOIS, NB – Center for Speed will host the inaugural event in the NB/PEI Street Stock Series this Sunday as it launches its 2021 season.

The NB/PEI Street Stock Series is a five-race series with stops in Petitcodiac, Geary, Miramichi, and PEI.  Sunday;s street stock feature will be 100-laps, split into two 50-lap races. The winner of each race will get $500 with an additional $250 going to the overall winner. The sponsor of the opening race is Johnston Enterprises Irving and Bakery located in Winsloe, PEI.

Sharing the card on Sunday will be a Sportsman Series 75 lap race. As well, there will be a mini-stock 35 lap feature along with Bombers (25 laps), Ironman (25 laps). In addition, the ever-popular Bandoleros will have a 15- lap feature race.  It is also the first race in the Centre for Speeds Maritime Super Series for all Divisions including a Sportsman 75, Mini 35, as well as Bomber, Ironman, and Bandolero points features.

The Street Stock Super Series promises to be an exciting event as over 22 cars from PEI and New Brunswick have pre-registered. Fans are still talking about last fall’s Atlantic Championship at Centre for Speed when the Street Stock Class had one of the most thrilling finishes at CFS over the last decade.  Fourteen Sportsman cars are registered.

Admission prices are Adults $20; Seniors (65+) $15; Youth (17 and under) $10; and Children (7 and under) free. Pit admission for this special event will be $35 (14 and over).

This will be the 26th annual season opener for Centre for Speed and will feature over 300 laps of exciting late model stock car action at the Grand Barachois oval located at 1157 Rte 133 just five kilometers east of Shediac, New Brunswick.
