NORTH SALEM, NS – The Butcher Racing team closed out the Atlantic Tiltload Maritime League of Legends Tour season in a big way with both brothers in victory lane at the end of the R&D Performancentre Road Course Challenge at Atlantic Motorsports Park.

Cole Butcher, older brother of Jarrett Butcher (both from Porter’s Lake), made a mid-race pass on Jarrett to clinch a Butcher Racing 1-2 finish in the season finale for the series. Jarrett’s second-place finish and a win in the heat race clinched the 2015 Atlantic Tiltload Maritime League of Legends Tour championship, his first with the series. Jarrett won three of seven races this season en route to the title.

Emily Meehan (Rawdon Gold Mines) made a last lap pass on multi-time series champion Justin MacNeill (Bedford) to take third place, by inches. MacNeill had to settle for fourth. Adam Meehan (brother of Emily, Rawdon Gold Mines), finished fifth and clinched the Rookie of the Year title.

The R&D Performancentre Road Course Challenge was run without a full course caution in the 15-lap race and took 21 minutes to complete. Twelve cars started the season finale at the 1.6-mile, 11 turn road course.
