Ashton Tucker (Lyttleton, NB) picked up the biggest win of his career tonight at the Summer Clash 250 presented by Superior Foundations and Atlantic Tiltload. The race will go down as one of the longest in series history taking over three and a half hours to complete. Jarrett Butcher (Porters Lake, NS) and Russell Smith Jr (Lakeside, NS) were hot on Tucker’s heels and battled through turn four on the final lap, with Butcher edging out Smith for second.  Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) and Matt Vaughan (Bedford, NS) round out the top five unofficially.

Atlantic Tiltload Heat Races kicked off the action on the track. Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS), Nicholas Naugle (Dartmouth, NS), Cory Hall (Jolicure, NB), and Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, NS) won their Atlantic Tiltload heat races which set the field for the Summer Clash 250.


Allison MacKinnon (Oyster Bed Bridge, PE) took home the Kenny U Pull Hard Charger award. Ryan VanOirschot (Antigonish, NS) was the Fleet Brake Atlantic Lucky Dog. Cole Butcher won the R&D Performancentre $1,000 Most Laps Led Award. Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, NS) wins $1,000 for leading at halfway courtesy of A&W Burnside and Eastern Passage. The Imagine Pools Chase the Checkers Fan Award went to Shelly Risser who drew Ashton Tucker in a random draw during opening ceremonies. Both Shelly and Ashton walk away with an extra $1,500 in their pockets courtesy of Imagine Pools.

The Heart of Champion Vintage Race Car Series put on a fantastic show for fans prior to the Summer Clash 250. The race was won by Tylor Hawes, followed by Peter Lawrence and Stacey Clements.

The East Coast International Pro Stock Tour would like to thank the Cross Roads Maritime League of Legends for their cooperation with today’s format as the weather was looming. Its feature was run after the completion of the Summer Clash 250 with Gage Gilby taking the checkers followed by Danny Chisholm and Owen Mahar in second and third, respectively.

The East Coast International Pro Stock Tour returns to action for the Cummins 150 on August 27 at Petty International Raceway.  Racing action gets underway at 4:00 pm.
