The CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series has an exciting Friday night of racing lined up! All divisions will be racing under the lights at 7:00 pm. The Fleet Brake Atlantic Sportsman cars will run the AJK 50 in honor of Alex Kocken, a longtime crew member and supporter of Miller Brothers Racing and racing throughout Atlantic Canada.

Pete Miller (Kennetcook, NS) enters the second edition of the AJK 50 on the heels of two straight feature victories. Miller and his No. 92 DAC Industrial Engines/Shore Cycle and Marine Chevrolet will look to capture their third straight win but will be in tough against the biggest weekly field of Late Model Sportsman anywhere in Atlantic Canada. Deven Smith (Lakeside, NS) has five feature wins thus far during the Scotia Speedworld season while point leader Alex Johnson (Enfield, NS) and leading Tim Hortons at the Airport Rookie Dylan Dowe (Bedford, NS) have single feature wins on the year. Smith is the defending race winner.

Fans will also be treated to double Strictly Hydraulics Legends features Friday night. One feature will be a make-up race for the July 29th event that got fogged out. Gage Gilby (Enfield, NS) enters as not only the most recent feature winner but the point leader after his successes during CKG Elevator Night on August 19th. Danny Chisholm (Canning, NS), who sits second in the standings, will look to make ground over two features on Friday night. Owen Mahar (Hubley, NS) sits well within title contention in third after ten races.

The Sunbelt Rentals Atlantic Canada Beginner Bandoleros and Bandolero Outlaws along with the Toursec Thunder and Lightning will run regular point paying features. In total, six feature events will be run Friday night that could go a long way in determining a championship as the CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series heads into September.

Admission for the CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series is $20 for adults, $5 for youth (8-15yrs), and children seven and under are free all season at Scotia Speedworld! Grandstands open at 5:00 pm. For more information on this event or the 2022 season please visit www.scotiaspeedworld.ca.
