MONCTON, NB – Management teams for the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series and Petty International Raceway are pleased to share the news that another race sponsor has reaffirmed their commitment to the series – with Moncton-based Old Fashioned Meat Market returning to present the Old Fashion Meat Market 150 on Saturday, July 6.

One season ago, the Old Fashion Meat Market 150 served as the season finale for the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series. It was a historic day that saw Dylan Gosbee (#16) crowned as the inaugural season champion, in a unique race that saw a 104-lap green flag run to the finish. It was during that run when Ashton Tucker (#2) would check out from the field in dominating fashion in a grueling test of car and driver to capture his first career SLMS victory. The 2024 edition of the race will transition to an early July date, setting up a classic short track Saturday night on Petty’s high banks.

“It’s another exciting day with another sponsorship partner returning,” said Race Director Brent Roy. “It was great to meet the folks from Old Fashion Meat Market last summer at Petty, and they sure are race fans to the core! We are pleased to welcome them back in 2024 and look forward to continuing to build our relationship with them.”

Tucker’s win in the Old Fashion Meat Market 150 was his first Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series victory, and he’s eager for more in 2024.

“It’s great to have sponsors interested in the series like Old Fashion Meat Market is,” said defending race winner Ashton Tucker. “Sponsors like them stepping up to sponsor these races is a big reason why the series had so much success last summer. I’m really glad they are coming back for another race at Petty and hopefully, I can put it in victory lane for the Old Fashion Meat Market 150 once again.”

The Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series will race into Petty International Raceway for the start of its second season of competition on Saturday, May 11 with the Fog City Auto Spa 150. Just under two months later, drivers will return to Petty to kick off the second half of the season with the Old Fashion Meat Market 150.

Time is running out to register for the 2024 Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series. Over two dozen teams have already filled out their registration confirming their intentions for the upcoming season. Teams can find the registration page online at SLMS.ca/registration. The deadline for full-time competitors to register at the discounted price is March 15, 2024, after which the race-by-race registration fee will apply.

Located on Mountain Road in Moncton, Old Fashion Meat Market is a local family-owned and operated butcher shop offering Maritime and Canadian-sourced fresh meat and produce. They have active Facebook and Instagram pages and frequently post daily and weekly specials. While this will mark their second year sponsoring the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series at Petty International Raceway, their support for the sport extends back several years of sponsoring grassroots racing at Petty along with competitors in the Moncton region.
