Truck Division Centre Stage at Speedworld This Friday

HALIFAX, NS – Scotia Speedworld’s Weekly Racing Series is gearing up for Molson Night this Friday. Five divisions will face off on the 3/10 mile oval including; the Hydraulics Plus Bandoleros, Thunder cars, Dartmouth Dodge Sportsman, Strictly Hydraulics Legends and the Coors Light Trucks. Adult admission for the Weekly Racing Series is just $12.00; Youth (8-15) are $2.00 and children 7 and under are free…all summer long! Tickets are available at the gate on race day (cash only). Grandstand gates open at 5:00 PM with racing action slated to get underway at 7:00 PM.

The Coors Light Truck division will take centre stage for Molson Night on Friday. This division is deep in talent and competition with a mix of new drivers and veterans attacking the track on a weekly basis. Dan Smith is vying for his third championship in as many seasons. Smith currently leads the championship point standing for the division but “the Legend” Cy Harvey (Elmsdale) is hot on his heels, just six markers behind. A trio of rookies; Matt Vaughan (Lake Fletcher), Corey Leonard (Goodwood) and Adam Carter (Lantz) round out the top five respectively.

Pit Gate opens 4:30 p.m.

Tech Inspection starts 4:30 p.m.

Practice starts 5:00 p.m.

Practice ends 6:25 p.m.

Opening Ceremonies/Parade Lap 7:00 p.m.
