BROOKLYN, MI – As a wet Sunday unfolded in southeastern Michigan, NASCAR officials postponed the FireKeepers Casino 400 race until later Monday.

Rain that moved through during the first part of Sunday afternoon delayed the start of the FireKeepers Casino 400. The race was scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. EDT.

NASCAR officials had hoped to drop the green flag at 3:02 p.m., but rain returned when drivers were running pace laps and delayed the start again at 3:08 p.m.

With rain continuing to stream into southeastern Michigan, NASCAR officials postponed the FireKeepers Casino 400 race until Monday at 5 p.m. (ETt).

Monday afternoon and evening will feature much better weather for racing.
