HALIFAX, NS – The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour will close out another season this Saturday at Scotia Speedworld with the Dartmouth Dodge 200. After 11 events at five tracks in three Maritime Provinces, over 40 competitors and 1,600 feature laps, it all comes down to the final 200 circuits to decide who will be crowned the 2014 Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour Champion – and who will cash the $10,000.00 cheque. Qualifying for the Dartmouth Dodge 200 gets underway at 3:10 PM with the Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials followed by championship racing set for 4:00 PM. Grandstand gates open at 1:00 PM.

Four-time series champion John Flemming (Halifax) enters the Dartmouth Dodge 200 with a 44 point lead over Jonathan Hicken (Brudenell, PE) and 45 points up on three-time series champ Shawn Tucker (Fredericton, NB). Flemming will need to finish 17th or better in order to take home his second consecutive and fifth Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour championship.

The Parts for Trucks $50,000 points fund will be on the minds of many drivers entering Saturday’s finale. Although the championship may be out of reach for those outside the top three, there is still a lot of cash on the line for other competitors who will be looking to improve or secure their year-end standings. Currently Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake) sits in fourth, Shawn Turple (Enfield) fifth and Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro) sixth. Just 11 points separate these three competitors.

Sarah McKay (Quispamsis, NB) will clinch the Exide Batteries Rookie of the Year title at the Dartmouth Dodge 200.

Emily Meehan (Rawdon)is  set to make her Pro Stock Tour debut at the Dartmouth Dodge 200. Meehan, a multiple-time Bandolero and Legend feature winner at Scotia Speedworld, will pilot the No. 75 Chevrolet owned by Maritime Motorsports Hall of Famer Stephen Henderson. Meehan will be a teammate to two-time series champion and defending Dartmouth Dodge 200 winner Shawn Turple.

Hot off the fifth NASCAR Canadian Tire Series victory of his career last weekend, Jason Hathaway (Dutton, ON) will make his second career start on the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour Saturday. Hathaway will drive the No.3 entry out of the Nova Racing stable and will be a teammate to Donald Chisholm (Antigonish, NS) and the No. 89 car.

The Dartmouth Dodge Sportsman will take centre stage Saturday to determine their champion in a 50-lap feature prior to the Dartmouth Dodge 200. It’s going to be a dramatic finish to the 2014 Sportsman season with just two points separating the top three drivers. Reigning division champ Darren Wallage (Oakfield) enters the race tied for first with Harry Ross White (Noel Road) and just two points up on third place DJ Casey (Prospect Road). We also can’t rule out 2012 division champion Aaron Boutilier (Porter’s Lake) who is currently fourth, 32 points behind the leaders.

Joe Chisholm and the crew from Race Time Radio will be streaming the event live from Scotia Speedworld. The broadcast will be available to listeners absolutely free via www.racetimeradio.com by clicking the “Listen Live” links in the upper right of the page, or by downloading their smart phone App, for iPad, iPhone, & Android.
