RIVER GLADE, NB – Petty International Raceway is excited to announce a continued partnership with the Old Fashion Meat Market which will see a Street Stock race added to the June 4 card. The 100-lap race will serve as the Maritime Street Stock Series race for the track and will pay $4,000 to win and a minimum of $250 to start. In total, based on a field of 20 cars, the base purse for the event is over $11,000.

While Street Stock racing is popular across the Province with several major events for the class, Petty International Raceway has become a home within New Brunswick for big money races for the division. In 2021, it was Brad MacLean of Black River, New Brunswick taking home the big win in August as a part of the Maritime Street Stock Series. With the Old Fashion Meat Market 100 taking place on the first weekend of June, it makes it the first major Street Stock event of the season along with one of the richest of the Summer.

The night is headlined by the return of the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour to Petty International Raceway with their second event of the season. The Street Stocks will close the night and run their feature following the 150-lap Pro Stock race. The Maritime League of Legends Tour and Leisure Days RV Bandoleros will also be a part of the solid four-division card.

“I’d like to thank Old Fashion Meat Market for helping us out with this race,” said Wayne Smith, co-owner of Petty International Raceway. “We’ve been trying to put a deal like this together for a while, for the Street Stocks to share a race night with the Pro Stock cars. It allows the Pro Stock fans to see some good, hard, old-school racing like the Street Stocks put on. This is going to be a race you will not want to miss presented by Old Fashion Meat Market.”

The Street Stocks will be a part of the Petty International Raceway Season Opener on Saturday, May 21. They will have a 75-lap event as a tune-up for the Old Fashion Meat Market 100. The May 21 card also features the Late Model Sportsman, Mini Stock, Bandolero, and Women on Wheels divisions.

Teams and fans are encouraged to stay tuned for more Maritime Street Stock Series announcements as the season draws closer.
