Nicholas Naugle (Dartmouth, NS) won the 35-lap Pro Late Model feature at New Smyrna Speedway in Florida on Friday night. It was the first night of competition in the 2020 edition of the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing. It is Naugle’s first win at the track.

Austin MacDonald (Pictou, NS) finished fifth in the 35-lap Super Late Model feature; Sammy Smith was the winner. MacDonald is driving the No. 13 out of King Racing, for his mentor and grandfather, Rollie MacDonald.

The World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing is in its 54th year and has a reputation for attracting the best short track racers from all over North America. It runs nine nights straight, from Feb 7 to 15.
