PENSACOLA, FL – John Hunter Nemechek, the 17-year-old son of NASCAR driver Joe Nemechek, won Sunday’s Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway. It was a remarkable run for the teenager, considering he started the day off exhausted with a mere 90-minutes sleep after scoring a runner-up finish in Saturday’s Snowflake 100. He started the race in the third spot, took the lead on lap 286 and hung on for the checkered flag. Dalton Sargent was second and Derek Thorn third.
