RIVER GLADE, NB – Jonathan Hicken (Brudenell, PE) scored his third win of the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour season at Petty Raceway by taking home the Atlantic Dodge Dealers 150 on Saturday evening. Hicken took the lead for the final time on Lap 86 and held off a hard charging sophomore Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) for the victory. Greg Proude (Springvale, PE) rallied to a third place finish from his 13th place starting position to take home the Exide Batteries Hard Charger Award. Point leader John Flemming (Halifax, NS) and his closest rival in Shawn Tucker (Fredericton) completed the top five after George Koszkulics (New Glasgow, NS) ran out of fuel in the final two laps of the event.

Hicken was fast from the start of the day as shown by his Atlantic Tiltload Fast Time of 13.649 seconds, and led themost laps in the feature to pocket the Linde Most Laps Led Award and a pivotal five points in the championship chase. After a mix up of the top eight drivers and a ten lap dash, Fredericton’s Shawn Tucker won the King Freight Dash and started the Main Feature on the pole. Exide Batteries Rookie of the Year contender Sarah McKay (Quispamsis) won her first Dartmouth Dodge Heat Race along with Moncton’s Jason Carnahan. New to the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour this weekend was the Bonus Dash, which was taken home to Cornwall, PE by Joel Hickox.A total of nine lead changes took place among Hicken, Flemming, and Tucker over the exciting 150-lap feature which took 88 minutes to complete.

Prior to the Atlantic Dodge Dealers 150 fans saw Kody Quinn of Glace Bay, NS take home the 25-lap Mister Transmission Mini Stock Feature and Nicholas Naugle (Dartmouth, NS) win the Maritime League of Legends feature and two race Atlantic Tiltload Challenge.

The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour takes a weekend off before the penultimate event on the 2014 season on Saturday, September 6 – the Lucas Oil 150 at Riverside International Speedway. Tickets on sale now at www.riversidespeedway.ca.
