The CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series is coming into the home stretch of the season. This week fans will be treated to two extended features, the Coors Light Trucks and Affordable Fuels Sportsman will both go toe to toe in 50 lap features Friday night. Also on track this week are the Hydraulics Plus Bandoleros and Strictly Hydraulics Legends. Admission for Coors Light Night is $14 for adults, $4 for youth and children 7 and under are free all season.

With a month to go in the season, it is crunch time for the CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series competitors on the hunt for prestigious track championships. Dan Smith (Lower Sackville) and Jarrett Butcher (Porter’s Lake) are in prime position to repeat their championships in the Coors Light Trucks and Strictly Hydraulics Legends classes, respectively. As was shown last week in a wild Coors Light Truck feature, no lead is safe and both divisions will be in action on Friday.

The Affordable Fuels Sportsman division is coming off their biggest race of the season one week ago. Pete Miller (Kennetcook) leads the points, but with the top five separated by only 43 points, it is sure to be action packed with the Affordable Fuels 50 having major championship implications on Friday.

The Hydraulics Plus Bandolero divisions are led by Sam Rogers (Outlaw, Lower Onslow), Nathan Langille (Bandit, Coldbrook) and Tyler Hutchinson (Beginner Bandit, Onslow) coming off the 17th Annual Atlantic Cat 250 weekend. The youngsters will contest point paying features this Friday night.

Joining track announcer Tim Terry in the booth on Friday night is Bobby Mac from Q104. Bobby Mac is a race fan and Scotia Speedworld is excited that he will join us for Coors Light Night.

In addition, longtime Scotia Speedworld racer Darren Bezanson and Christina Hinch will be wed on the front straight Friday night at 7pm to kick off Coors Light Night. Following their wedding, Bezanson will hop into his Coors Light Truck to compete for 50-laps to celebrate the occasion.
