$20 Carload admission returns to Scotia Speedworld this Friday only for the Toursec Twin 50s. That’s right, gather up your friends and family, hop in a car and everyone gets in for just $20. If you are more of the solo type, no problem, reduced admission prices will also be available -$10 for adults, $2 for youth, children 7 and under are free all summer at Scotia Speedworld.

Four CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series divisions will see action including the Toursec Thunder & Lightning, Strictly Hydraulics Legends and the Affordable Fuels Sportsman. Racing Action gets underway at 7:00 PM.

The Toursec Lightning cars return after their week off to their biggest event of the year. Scott Thibodeau (Williamswood) swept both ends of the Toursec Twin 50s for the class in 2017 en route to the championship, but it is Steve Matthews (Bedford) in control after Week One. Matthews, known as “Mr. Lightning on the Hill” for his win in the Toursec Twin 50 in his rookie season, drove to victory lane on CTV Night to open the 2018 season. Can Thibodeau continue his streak of extended distance wins, will Matthews climb the hill to his second straight win on the year or will it be the likes of Drake, Keefe, Stewart, Dillman, Hopper or another familiar name driving to victory lane?

The Toursec Thunder class has seen two first time feature winners kick off the new year. Neil Miousse (Kentville) and Darren Flemming (Rawdon) battled for the Tim Hortons at the Airport Rookie of the Year Award in 2017 and now both have feature wins on their resume. Chris Hatcher (Beaver Bank) and Dave Matthews (Kennetcook) each took Toursec 50s last year and have shown speed in the first two races of 2018. Jesse Deveau (Greenwood), looking to continue the trend of firfirst-timenners at Scotia Speedworld, enters Friday night’s competition in fifth in the Toursec Thunder standings.

Please note $20 carload admission is not applicable or upgradable to the pit area.
