Nova Scotia’s Cole Butcher has qualified fourth for Sunday’s Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida. Butcher, driving No. 53, was among 53 cars to take his laps in the session – in the 53rd annual edition of the prestigious short track event.

The race attracts the biggest names in stock car racing and this year includes 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion Chase Elliott – a three-time winner of the Derby before his NASCAR career, and NASCAR superstar Kyle Busch – owner of Rowdy Manufacturing, maker of the chassis driven by Cole Butcher.

Derek Thorn won the pole for the Snowball Derby, followed by Kaden Honeycutt, Ty Majeski, and Cole.

Cole’s brother, Jarrett, is also at Five Flags Speedway, entering Saturday’s Snowflake 100. The Derby is a super late model race and the Snowflake is a late model event.

Qualifying for the Snowflake 100 is set for 2 p.m. ET on Saturday.

Both days will be broadcast online PPV by Speed51TV.
