RIVER GLADE, NB – Management of Petty International Raceway is excited to welcome back several key marketing partners in 2019 that will help support major events throughout the season at the high banked bullring. These partners help make the racing action possible at the track.

Leading the way is Bumper to Bumper with the continuation of the Petty Pro Stock Challenge (PPSC). The program began in 2018 as a mini-Series, combining the five Pro Stock and Super Late Model events at the track to crown a champion. Last year, it was Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) taking home the cheque as the champion of the Bumper to Bumper PPSC on the strength of two feature victories in the Summer months. This year, Bumper to Bumper will deliver a $3,000 cash prize to the winner of the four race Series that will encompass all three Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour stops at Petty International Raceway along with the Mike Stevens Memorial on Saturday, September 21st.

In addition to Bumper to Bumper returning for the PPSC, Lonnie Sommerville Racing will once again provide promotional consideration for the second and third place teams within the four race Series.  Second place will receive a full ARBodies body (less glass) with installation and labor courtesy of Lonnie Sommerville Racing. The third place finisher in the PPSC will receive an ARBodies Re-Skin kit.

Bumper to Bumper’s support of local stock car racing at Petty International Raceway grows in 2019 with the addition of the title sponsorship of the newly added Summer Shootout event in August. With driver registration opening last week for the Inaugural Bumper to Bumper Summer Shootout, the anticipation is already growing for the event months out from the first of four straight days of racing beginning on Thursday, August 1st.

In addition to Bumper to Bumper, Petty International Raceway would like to welcome three associate sponsors to the Bumper to Bumper Summer Shootout. St. Louis Bar & Grill Moncton and Dieppe will be providing food for the Wednesday evening early arrival Pit Party, LBT Pallets will be the sponsor for the Bandolero division for the week while Eastern Powder Coating will supply one free powder coating to a lucky team that competes in the event. While LBT Pallets and Eastern Powder Coating are new faces to the Petty International Raceway family, Keith Mackintosh and St. Louis Bar & Grill Moncton and Dieppe have been a longtime marketing partner with the track and the management of the facility thanks them for their support of this new motorsports event.

Petty International Raceway’s first marketing partner from when they announced their re-opening in 2011 will return for a ninth season. Jones Auto Body, which is located just down the road from the track at 97 Sanitorium Road in River Glade, will support the 55th River Glade International on Friday, August 23rd and Saturday, August 24th. The Jones Auto Body Late Model Sportsman 100 will headline the card on Friday evening of one of Canada’s oldest stock car races. Jordan Veinotte (Porter’s Lake, NS) took home one of the biggest stock car wins of his career by taking the victory in the 2018 edition of the Jones Auto Body Late Model Sportsman race on River Glade International weekend.

One of Petty International Raceway’s most popular events returns in July with support once again from Metal Core and D.R. Scrap Metals. The Night of Destruction will take place on Saturday, July 6th and will feature many demolition type motorsports events, including a Demolition Derby, Barrell Race, Backup Race and many more. Celebrating its fifth year, the Metal Core and D.R. Scrap Metals Demolition Derby first appeared on the Petty International Raceway card back in 2015 when River Glade’s Josh Lounsbury bashed his way to the top prize.

The Canadian National Autism Foundation (CNAF) KidsRace will return for a third consecutive year with support from Acura of Moncton. The Saturday, June 1st event will serve as the Season Opening race at Petty International Raceway for the Kings County Performance Women on Wheels, Leisure Days RV Bandolero and Mister Transmission Mini Stock divisions. They will be joined by the A.E. McKay Builders Late Model Sportsman and Street Stock classes and it will mark the first time the Atlantic Modified Tour will visit in 2019. Petty International Raceway is honored to be one of only three race tracks in Atlantic Canada to host the CNAF KidsRace annually.

On the contingency awards side, NAPA Auto Parts in Petitcodiac and Salisbury will once again present Rookie of the Year Award in all Petty International Raceway house divisions. In addition, they will also support the Sixth Annual Mike Stevens Memorial event on September 20th and 21st as a presenting event partner. NAPA Auto Parts in Petitcodiac and Salisbury have been steady supporters of stock car racing in the region for several seasons and Petty International Raceway is excited to have them back on board in 2019.

The first race of the 2019 motorsports season at Petty International Raceway is on Saturday, May 18th. The event, which serves as the first stock car oval event in Atlantic Canada for the year, is headlined by the Season Opener for the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour. In addition to their 150-lap lid lifter, the Passione Flooring & Interiors East Coast Mini Stock Tour, A.E. McKay Builders Late Model Sportsman and Street Stocks will hit the track to pop the cork on their new year. Racing action will begin on the afternoon at 4pm.
