Speedway 660 '09 Banquet Sets Stage for 2010

FREDERICTON (January 30, 2010) - Saturday night at the Fredericton Inn Speedway 660 held its annual Awards banquet to honor the champions and award winners from the past season. With a great crowd on hand this evening is always a hit as a mid winter gathering to celebrate the past years events and get excited about the upcoming season.

The big winners in 2009 were division champions Greg Fahey, John Rankin, Brian Fox and Pat Sharpe.

A sneak peak of the 2010 tentative schedule was released Saturday night with the major events that make up a great summer of racing. Returning again in 2010 is a stop on the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) out of New England. PASS will be running a 200 lap event on June 12th.

Speedway 660 will also continue with its 4 cylinder development in 2010. In addition, Speedway 660 is also considering a Bandolero division in 2010 for kids 8-14 yrs old.

Several successful changes in the 2009 will continue in 2010 including the 7pm start times, Sunday Enduros as well as ending the season the 9th Annual SPEEDWEEKEND celebration on Labour Day Weekend.

Another significant milestone for 2010 is the 10th Anniversary of the storied Peterbilt 250. Fans can look forward to an even bigger event for this year’s Labour Day Sunday.

The entire 2010 schedule is expected to be released in late February in conjunction with more exciting news.
