Pre-Race Notes & Quotes
Erin Crocker, No. 98 Cheerios/Betty Crocker Dodge
"I am excited to go back to Dover. We qualified really well there in the Busch car last year. I think we started 9th. We didn't
have a very good finish there. It is nice to go back to a track that I have already been on before. That is something that hasn't
happened a lot this year. Most of the tracks I have gone to are all new to me. I like the tracks that are high banked and I
think we will have a really good weekend. The team has come a long way. The guys feel really good about the truck we are
taking this weekend. We need to get our selves back up there in points this weekend and finally get some good results. We
have been running well, but just haven’t had the results lately that we should have had." This will mark Crocker's first
Truck Series race at Dover.
Ted Musgrave, No. 9 Team ASE/Germain Toyota
"I like racing at Dover," said Musgrave. "It is the type of race track where you have to have your mind set on racing the track,
much like Darlington and Bristol. You need a truck that handles very well so you can be aggressive on the track and with
your race truck. Dover is not a forgiving race track. You have to make sure you and your race team are on your 'A' game.
We will be on our 'A' game this week." Ted has 19 career starts in his NASCAR Nextel Cup Series at Dover. His best starting
spot in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series at Dover came in 1994 when Ted started in the seventh position, driving the No. 16 The
Family Channel Ford for Jack Roush. His best NASCAR Nextel Cup Series career finish at Dover was in 1995 when Ted drove his
No. 16 The Family Channel Ford home to a third place finish.
Todd Bodine, No. 30 Lumber Liquidators Toyota
"Dover is a very special track for me," said Todd Bodine. "I got my very first Busch Series win there. I have been lucky
enough to go to victory lane three times there in the Busch series. Any time I am there, whether it's in the Nextel Cup,
Busch or Truck Series, I always run well. The racing at the Dover track is different from most other tracks. It's pretty
exciting to race on a 1-mile concrete oval, especially in the trucks. It would be awesome to take home a win at Dover in
the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series." Todd will be making his second NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start at Dover
International Speedway this Friday. His first race at Dover in the NCTS came in 2005, driving the No. 66 Fiddle Back
Racing Toyota Tundra. Todd has 13 starts at Dover International Speedway in his NASCAR Nextel Cup Series career.
Todd's best NASCAR Nextel Cup Series career start at Dover is ninth, which came in 1994 and 2001 while driving the No. 75
Factory Stores Ford for Bob Rahilly and in 2001, driving the No. 66 Kmart Ford for Travis Carter. Todd's best career
finish in the NNCS at Dover is 12th, which came in 2003 while driving the No. 54 National Guard Ford. Todd has a total of 20
starts in his NASCAR Busch Series career at Dover International Speedway. His best NASCAR Busch Series start was when
Todd sat on the pole while driving the No. 34 Hungry Jack Buick for Frank Cicci. Todd's best NASCAR Busch Series finish at
Dover and first Busch Series win came in 1993 when he drove the No. 34 Fiddle Faddle Chevy for Frank Cicci. Todd has a
total of three wins at Dover in his NASCAR Busch Series career.
Scott Lagasse, No. 04 Hemi Dodge
Scott Lagasse, Jr. will be making his second-career start at The Monster Mile this weekend. He competed in last year’s
NASCAR Busch Series race for FitzBradshaw Racing finishing 42nd after a crash ended his day. Lagasse Jr. will be driving the
BHR chassis “Butthead” this weekend at Dover. It will be “Butthead’s” third start this season. The AAA Insurance 200 will
mark Lagasse’s 6th NCTS career start.
Carl Edwards, No. 50 Ford
"This is awesome to get back and race in the Truck Series again," said Edwards. "I've been bugging Jack for months to let me
run a race or two. I'm glad he finally caved in and let me do this deal. The trucks are so much fun, they really are a
blast to drive. I'm really looking forward to getting out there Friday and seeing what we can do."
Joey Miller, No. 12 Curb Records Toyota
“I’ve never run there before and actually I’ve never seen the place,” said Miller. “The extent of my knowledge about the track
is that it is a high-banked fast concrete one-mile track. I’m really excited to go back to another shorter track. Dover is a
place where you can lift off the gas. It’s not a wide open track like all these intermediate tracks we are going to.”
David Reutimann
“I don’t know exactly where we were in points last year coming into Dover, but I do know it’s a huge difference,” said Reutimann,
who was 17th in the points last season entering the Monster Mile. “It feels good to be in third-place and knocking on the
door of first-place in the points standings. We’ve been getting the finishes we need and the pit stops have been great.
Everything has been really good for us. We’re closer to where we’ve ever been to the points lead. I think we’ve got a good
shot at being even closer. We’re in a better position than we were last season when we raced at Dover.”
Timothy Peters, No. 4 Dodge Motorsports Dodge
Timothy Peters will be making his second Dover start this weekend. Peters qualified fourth and finished sixth in last year’s
Dover event. Peters will be driving the BHR chassis “Rocket” this weekend at Dover. The chassis ran at Charlotte, Kentucky,
Memphis, IRP, Nashville, Bristol, Richmond, Las Vegas, Martinsville, Atlanta and Homestead with Peters behind the wheel in
2005 and ran as recently as last week at Mansfield where it posted an 11th place finish. The AAA Insurance 200 at Dover
International Raceway will mark Peters’ 25th NCTS career start. Peters gained eight valuable spots in the NCTS owner’s
points after his 11th place finish at Mansfield moving him up to 24th overall.
Bobby Hamilton Jr., No. 18 Fastenal Racing Dodge
Bobby Hamilton Jr. will be making his fifth start in the No. 18 Fastenal Dodge at the Monster Mile in the AAA Insurance 200. Hamilton Jr. will be making his first NCTS start at Dover International Raceway.
The AAA Insurance 200 will mark Hamilton Jr.’s 13th NCTS career start. Hamilton Jr. will run a new and yet unnamed BHR chassis at
Dover - #33. Hamilton Jr. has three top five and four top-ten finishes in 10 NASCAR Busch Series starts at Dover with a best
finish of second on Sept. 20, 2003. Hamilton Jr. also has four NASCAR Nextel Cup starts at Dover with a best of 21st on June 5, 2005.
