Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway, while Kevin Harvick finished third to maintain his lead in the championship points race.

Bowyer finished second while Harvick placed third in the U.S. Coast Guard Chevrolet. Rockwell Automation Chevrolet driver Denny Hamlin finished fourth after leading during the midway point of the event. Pre-Race Notes & Quotes
Chris Cook, No. 43 Rio Grand/ShiftIntoGear Dodge
Veteran racer Chris Cook will be behind the wheel of the #43 Rio Grand/Shift Into Gear Dodge of the Curb Agajanian Performance
Group when it comes to the Nashville Superspeedway 1.33-mile concrete tri-oval for Saturday night’s NASCAR Busch Series Federated
Auto Parts 300. It will be the fifth NBS start for the 34-year-old Cook, who owns the Shift Into Gear driving school and over
the years has tutored numerous NASCAR and other series regulars including Tony Stewart. His previous four NBS starts, and his
lone Nextel Cup Series start in 2005, have all come on road courses. While this is Cook’s first effort at Nashville
Superspeedway, he is certainly no stranger to the area. He was the 1992 NASCAR Late Model Rookie of the Year at the
Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, and lived in the area from 1992-97.
Kyle Busch, No. 5 Lowe's/Spectracide Chevrolet
Kyle Busch will enter two NASCAR events in two separate time zones this weekend, traveling from Pennsylvania to Tennessee on
Saturday to qualify and race his No. 5 Lowe's/Spectracide Chevrolet in Busch Series competition at Nashville Superspeedway.
Busch will then fly back north for Sunday's 500-mile NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series event at Pocono Raceway. With Busch taking part
in NEXTEL Cup activities at Pocono Raceway, veteran Busch Series driver Justin Labonte will practice the No. 5 Lowe's/Spectracide
Chevrolet prior to Saturday's qualifying session at Nashville. Labonte, a past winner on the circuit, will remain on standby
throughout time trials and the 300-mile race that evening. In three Busch Series starts at Nashville, Busch has posted one
top-10 finish -- a sixth-place effort in June 2004. In the April 2003 ARCA Series event, Busch won from the pole position in
his first-ever race with Hendrick Motorsports.
Boris Said, No. 9 Ingersoll Rand Dodge
"I am thankful for this opportunity to have some additional races behind the wheel of the No. 9 Dodge Charger in the Busch
Series. We got off to a great start in Mexico City and I think if it weren’t for a wrapper on our grill late in the race that
we could have won that event. Because Ray (Evernham) believes in my abilities not only on a road course but on ovals as well,
we have been able to partner with strong companies like Hellman’s and Ingersoll Rand at these events. One of my personal goals
is to visit victory lane in the Busch Series and I believe that working with proven winners like Team Director Trip Bruce and
his No. 9 team is exactly what I need to achieve that.” This will be Said’s first career Busch Series start at the Nashville
Superspeedway. Said has two poles, three top-fives, three top-10s, and has led 27 laps in seven starts in the NASCAR Busch Series.
Todd Kluever, No. 06 3M Ford
"We were pretty good at Nashville back in April so I'm really excited to go back this weekend. We were running in the top 10
when we got caught up in an accident with a lapped car. I bet we could have finished in the top five if we could have stayed
out of trouble. We've learned so much more since the last time we raced there that I have to believe our 3M Ford Fusion is
going to be extremely competitive this weekend. We've got a lot to build on and we're learning. Even though we finished 18th
at Dover last weekend, I am still really pleased with how our team has come together. We might stumble a couple of times but
we're going to figure it out and we're going to be really stellar by the end of the season. We've gained five spots in the
points in the last two weeks. I feel confident we'll be in the top 10 before it's all said and done." Kluever has two prior
starts at Nashville. One in last year's Craftsman Truck Series race and the other in the Busch Series race in April. Kluever has
been the Raybestos Rookie of the Race for the last two consecutive races.
Mark McFarland, No. 88 Navy Accelerate Your Life Chevrolet
Saturday’s race will mark McFarland’s second Busch race at Nashville Superspeedway. In April he started 20th in the Pepsi 300
and was on his way to a solid finish before he was pinched between two cars on Lap 96. The car sustained significant damage
as all the suspension components on the left front were bent, broken or gone when the crew brought the car into the garage area.
The team launched a massive recovery effort to get the car back on the track and McFarland was able to pick up three positions
before finishing 33rd.
Clint Bowyer, No. 2 ACDelco Chevrolet
The challenge: Two races - two states - two days – two wins. Can it be done? The answer is yes! ACDelco driver Clint
Bowyer is ready to face the challenge of traveling back and forth between the NASCAR Busch series and the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup
series races being held in two different states in two days and all the while concentrating on taking home his second win at
Nashville Superspeedway. “I think we have a good game plan for this weekend,” said a confident Bowyer about wheeling the No. 2
ACDelco car at Nashville Superspeedway on Saturday in Nashville, Tenn.’s Busch race and running the No. 07 Richard Childress
Racing Cup entry at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pa., on Sunday. Bowyer along with his RCR teammate, Kevin Harvick will be
flying between the two locations on Harvick’s private plane logging in a 1642 mile round trip flight. The RCR duo, along
with five other NASCAR drivers, is participating this weekend in both events. Bowyer has raced five times at Nashville
Superspeedway in the NASCAR Busch Series. He is five for five, meaning he has finished first, second, third, fourth and
fifth at the 1.333-mile oval. He carries the title for most top-five finishes at Nashville Superspeedway. Most recently,
Bowyer finished second in the first Nashville race of this season.
Cale Gale, No. 1 Miccosukee Resort & Gaming Dodge
Cale Gale will be driving the No. 1 Miccosukee Resort & Gaming Dodge Charger that has been normally driven by NASCAR veteran
Mike Wallace. Veteran driver Jason Keller started the 2006 season in the No. 1 machine, but was relieved of his driving duties
earlier this season. “Words cannot express how excited I am and thankful I am for this opportunity to represent Miccosukee
Resort & Gaming and Phoenix Racing,” said Gale. “We ran very well and were a threat in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. I’m very
comfortable with the track. I’m racing against some of the best NASCAR drivers this weekend, I just want to do a good job
for our team and win the respect of my other competitors. A top-ten finish is definitely realistic this weekend.” Gale is
currently the shock specialist for Phoenix Racing and has done several test sessions in the Busch car as well as their NASCAR
Nextel Cup Series car, which he tested two weeks ago at Greenville Pickens. He started his tenure with James Finch, owner of
Phoenix Racing last fall.
Jason White, No. 08 GunBroker.com Dodge
Driving the No. 08 GunBroker.com Dodge this weekend is Jason White. White, a native of Virginia is no stranger to Nashville
Superspeedway and remains confident that his rookie team will unload as strong as any other team. “We’re looking forward to
this weekend’s race at Nashville,” said White, a former NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competitor. “This team has really
spent the time and effort into making us capable of winning races. I’m just the lucky guy that gets to drive the GunBroker.com
machine. We are all looking forward to this weekend.”
