Jeff Burton wins StonebridgeRacing.com 200 at Dover
DOVER, Del. (June 3, 2006) – Jeff Burton won Saturday’s StonebridgeRacing.com 200 at Dover International Speedway, his second NASCAR Busch Series win of the season. Carl Edwards finished second, followed by Kurt Busch, Clint Bowyer and Ron Hornaday in fifth place. After starting the race from the 34th position, Burton’s 22nd career NASCAR Busch Series victory was also the biggest come-from-behind win in series history at Dover.
Series points leaders Kevin Harvick and Edwards began the race on the front row, after Busch Pole qualifying was rained out and the field was set according to the point standings. Harvick led the first six laps before yielding to Edwards and eventually drifting back to the fifth position as Denny Hamlin, Bowyer and Kyle Busch charged ahead.

Pre-Race Notes & Quotes
Kasey Kahne, No. 9 Wisk/Ultimate Chargers Dodge
I definitely enjoy driving Dover. It's one of those tracks that you really attack. You're hard on the gas down the straightaways
and then hard on the brakes entering the corner. During the course of the weekend a second groove will develop, but that
becomes most obvious in the Cup race. I have been on the pole there in the Busch car before and had some success in those races.
I really want to get a good finish in the Wisk Dodge this weekend. We have had really strong cars at Richmond, Darlington, and
Lowe’s but just haven't been able to close the deal and come home with a top finish. I plan on turning that around this weekend."
In Busch Series competition Kasey Kahne has one pole, two top fives, four top 10s, and has led 63 laps in seven starts at Dover
International Speedway (DIS).
Mark McFarland, No. 88 Navy Accelerate Your Life Chevrolet
“I ran pretty decent in the Busch race at Dover a couple years ago. It’ll be good to get back to a track where I have some
seat time. With the limits on testing this year, experience on the track is more important than ever. That’s one of the
problems we’ve had this year as a rookie team with a rookie driver. We’ve still had some good runs and I think as we
move through the season and go back to some of the tracks we’ve already run at we’ll be even better.”
Saturday’s race will mark McFarland’s second Busch race at Dover International Speedway and his third overall race
there. In 2004 he ran both the Spring Busch and Truck Series races at the track.
Clint Bowyer, No. 2 ACDelco Chevrolet
Bowyer has raced twice at Dover. In his first full season of NASCAR Busch Series racing in 2005, Bowyer
qualified in the top-five in the ACDelco Chevrolet for both races. After starting in the third position in
June, he finished the race 19th. He then qualified fifth for the September race and came home second.
Clint Bowyer turned 27-years-old on Tuesday, May 30.
