AVONDALE, NL – Eastbound Park and Edward Collins Contracting (ECC) proudly presents the biggest race of the season, and it’s upon us this weekend with the ECC 125 for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. Featuring Live performances from The Navigators, and Special Guest NASCAR Pinty’s Series driver Joey McColm. To add to this big weekend Smoking Joe of Race Time Radio on Sirius XM will broadcast all weekend. The weekend kicks off Friday night on George Street’s Wing n It restaurant with live performances from Heel n Toe Band from 8pm-midnight.

Saturday’s race day comes wide open with gates at 4pm, calling all motorsport enthusiasts to Avondale for an action-packed afternoon of racing! Included are all four classes of racing: with our young, speedy bandits in the Islander RV Bandolero Series, the battle is on in the four-cylinder NASCAR Atlantic Dodge Dealers Hobby Stock division, Hanlon Realty US Legends Series, and of course the classic, peddle to the metal NAPA Auto Parts Sportsman V-8 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series is ready to hit the gas!

Race teams are now in sight of the championship chase with just a handful of events left to the 2016 season. #74 Jason Groves, #30 Gerald Hicks, #61 Ches Cole, #29 Mitchel Fahey, #56 Josh Collins, and #91 Scott Wright, are all battling for the first-ever NASCAR Whelen All-American Series championship on the rock. The champion will get a special invite to the NASCAR Awards ceremony in Charlotte, North Carolina this December.
