It was a night of redemption for Nick Chaisson in the Street Stock division at Oyster Bed Speedway on Saturday. The Championship contender has been back and forth between first and second place in the points despite not winning a race since opening weekend. Out of fifteen races this year only twice has he finished out of the top three. He looked determined to take home a checkered flag charging his way to the front of the pack to take home a win in his opening race of the night and concluding his night with a feature win. He came close to making it a complete sweep finishing second to Kevin Albert. Albert finished with two wins and a second in the feature. Retired driver Walter MacQuarrie made his long anticipated return to the track this time filling in for Donnie McNeil. Driving like a man possessed in his opening heat race. He started from the back of the pack banging and crashing his way towards the front. Valiantly he passed cars on the inside and the outside but eventually he ran out of laps and had to settle for a second place finish.
